Harwood Named President Of Nuclear Medicine Technologists Of Tennessee

Jeffrey Harwood, CNMT, lead nuclear medicine PET/CT technologist at CHI Memorial, has been named president of Nuclear Medicine Technologists of Tennessee, a nonprofit organization that promotes the science, technology and practical application of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.  He has been a regional representative of NMTT since 2013 as well as a speaker at the last four annual meetings which rotate between Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville, and Memphis. He will serve as president of NMTT for the 2017-2018 term. 

“During my time as president, it will be my responsibility to conduct quarterly executive council meetings with other leadership within the NMTT,” said Mr. Harwood. “I will also be responsible for facilitating the annual state meeting, which will be held in Chattanooga next March. The meeting offers nuclear medicine technologists the opportunity to acquire 13 continuing education credits through lectures.” 

Prior to joining CHI Memorial in August 2008, Mr. Harwood received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army.  He worked at Womack Army Medical Center in Ft. Bragg, NC, where he served as lead technologist.  Mr. Harwood also currently serves on the membership committee for the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technologist Section.
