Emily’s Power for a Cure donated 600 Brave Gowns to Children’s Hospital at Erlanger on Wednesday.

Brave Gowns were created in 2015 by Summer Germann in honor of her brother Mac.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, the gowns have been distributed individually to thousands of children in hospitals across the country. Thanks to the collaboration with Emily’s Power for a Cure, Children’s Hospital at Erlanger is the first children’s hospital in the country to make the gowns standard issue for inpatient use.

The high-quality, comfortable hospital gowns empower kids with strength, courage and hope as they’re transformed into superheroes, surfers, princesses and more.

Unlike traditional hospital gowns, which tie in the back and can gape open, Brave Gowns tie on the side and provide full coverage. Snaps along the arms allow patients to change gowns at their convenience, without needing a nurse to disconnect their IV lines, etc. As a result, the kids have less exposure to germs and a little more control over their situation.

This isn’t the first time Emily’s Power for a Cure has made a significant gift to the local children’s hospital. In 2008, the organization donated $300,000 to purchase a pediatric computed tomography (CT) scanner. Emily’s CT Ranch, which officially opened for patient use in March 2011, provides a kid-friendly way for children in our region to be diagnosed and treated for many childhood illnesses and injuries.

DACA Or Amnesty To Become The Majority?

As we have the political drama that we see in D.C. let’s be honest about what DACA is all about. We understand as the liberal policies of abortion, dependency on the government and an anti-American globalist / progressive agenda that many have come to realize these policies no longer represent their core beliefs and have left a certain party. Without an influx of new dependency ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: Rebranding & ‘Culture’

My grandfather, who ran several very successful businesses, was a very astute fellow. I can’t tell you how many times he said, “The worst thing any salesman who calls on a business can say is, ‘I am here to save you some money.’ That’s not true -- In every instance they are in front of you hoping to make some money for themselves, else they would have never come by.” Another ...
