Country Club Swimmers Ends Season On Strong Note

Wavemakers Roll Past Big Ridge To Finish At 6-2 In CASL's Red Division

The Country Club Wavemakers finished the regular season in the Chattanooga Area Swim League on a high note Tuesday night as they improved to 6-2 with a lopsided 527-253 victory over the Big Ridge Raiders.

The winners were at full strength as most of the kids on their roster got to swim and contribute in a big way to the win, including 28 youngsters who scored at least 10 points.

Ward Richey, Lydia Bohannon, Margaret Anne Hudson, Ryan Berry and Helen Kates all maxed out with 19 points while Katie Grace Tudor, Addie Margio, Ce Ce Turner and Sofia Bell all finished with 17 points apiece.

Nathan Jungels and Logan Carroll, a pair of up-and-coming 10-year-old boys, set the pace for the Raiders with 18 and 16 points, respectively.

Christopher Farnham also had a good meet and finished with 15.

These two teams will join the other 13 teams at Fort Oglethorpe this weekend for the annual Bill Caulkins City Meet.

Action starts at 8 a.m. on Friday and will conclude around sundown Saturday.
